Credit wallet
Credits are a prepaid balance used for Picora’s AI features. They’re separate from your subscription: your plan covers storage, bandwidth, and uploads, while credits pay for on-demand AI usage.
What credits are used for
- AIGC generation — each generated image draws credits based on the model and output count.
- AI image tools — smart crop, background removal, OCR, alt-text, auto-tag.
- MCP overage — MCP tool calls are free up to a monthly quota (Trial 500 · Pro 5,000 · Pro+ 50,000 calls). Beyond the quota, each call draws a small amount from your credits.
Your base subscription itself never consumes credits.
Getting credits
Monthly grant — paid plans include an automatic credit grant on the 1st of each month (UTC):

Buying opens a secure checkout; your balance updates automatically once payment completes.
Credits never expire
Both granted and purchased credits persist indefinitely — an unused monthly grant carries forward, and topped-up credits don’t lapse.
Refunds are automatic
If an AI action fails (a generation error, a tool that couldn’t finish), the credits are refunded automatically — you’re only charged for successful results. For a refund of a purchase, contact support; credits are refunded to your original payment method.
Balance & history
The Credits page in your dashboard shows your current balance and a full ledger of every change — top-ups, monthly grants, AI charges, and refunds — which you can filter by type. Developers can read the same data via GET /v1/credit/balance and GET /v1/credit/ledger (see the API playground).
